Freiburg im Breisgau, commonly known as Freiburg i.B. or just Freiburg, is a city in the German state (Land) of Baden-Württemberg. Located in the southwest of Germany Freiburg i.B. is the fourth largest city in the state of Baden-Württemberg with a population of approximately 230’000. Freiburg i.B. serves as the primary entry point to the mountain range of the Black Forest.
